Understanding the Growth Portal
The Growth Portal allows teams and individuals to leverage the results of their assessments. Participants can analyze their results to see where they are now, decide where they want to go and use multiple resources from the Growth Portal to highlight what they need to do to get there.
This guidance includes best practices, improvement tips, helpful downloadable resources, videos focused on Agile concepts and strategies, as well as opportunities to request help from internal or external coaches.
If your company has enabled this feature, you can access the Growth Portal in two ways:
- From within certain Assessment Results Radars. This is typically done at the time of your Retrospective Session.
- Using the icon at the top of the screen when you first log into AgilityHealth®. This is typically used in between your assessments. You can watch videos or utilize any of the resources for any competency at any time.
Note: Growth Portals do not exist for every team or every individual 360 radar.
Utilizing the Growth Portal in a Team Retrospective
Once the team has completed the assessment, the results are ready to be analyzed, usually during a retrospective session with an AgilityHealth® Facilitator.
To leverage the Growth Portal from the assessment, click on your team's icon on the Team Dashboard. This will take you to your team’s Assessments Dashboard. Click on the specific assessment of interest and your Results Radar will appear in Summary view. You can stay in this view or toggle to the Details view of the radar.
To access the Growth Portal, select one of the competencies to be taken to the Competency Profile dialogue box. The Competency Profile allows you to review the specific questions for each competency and the team's average response. This allows you to better understand how the average correlates with the maturity stage. Every question within the assessment is additive, which means that in order for a team member to pick the answer that corresponds to Run, the team must meet the criteria in Crawl and Walk.
Click on the 'Growth Portal' icon to access the Growth Portal.
You can also visit the Growth Portal from the Analytics Table below the radar results. To learn more about the questions that are asked, click on the competency in the Analytics Table to view the details. Click on the Growth Portal button on the Competency Profile to access more information and resources for that specific competency.
The Growth Portal provides resources for each competency. Typically during a team Retrospective you will break into groups to review the results of your assessment and determine your growth plan for the next quarter. The Growth Portal is the tool each group will use to determine which resources they would like to use to help complete growth items.
Once inside the Growth Portal, you will see specific resources available for the competency you have selected.
The team will want to review each resource and determine what they will use to complete growth items. The resources were created by Agile Transformation's community of Enterprise Coaches, Agilists and Partners. The categories include:
- Examples of what is Healthy
- Actionable Recommendations
- Videos specific to the given competency
- Blogs, Articles and Activities to use as Resources
- Ability to request an experienced Coach to meet with you or your team to learn and improve on the specific competency
What is Healthy?
Dig deeper into what healthy and unhealthy look like, as well as explore what other competencies can impact (or be impacted) by this one. Review what Fly "Healthy" looks like and what Crawl "Unhealthy" may look like. This allows the team to look at specific examples of Fly vs Crawl side by side and opens discussions to identify the areas you want to grow as a team.
Take action by implementing some of the growth recommendations created by AgilityHealth® or from other teams within your organization. Teams can share solutions they have successfully used. To learn how to share recommended solutions, visit Add a Solution to Growth Items.
Select 'Pull into Growth Plan' within each recommendation to automatically create a Growth Item for the team within this specific assessment.
Info: 'Pull into Growth Plan' is only available when the Growth Portal is accessed directly from an assessment. If you access the Growth Portal through the icon at the top of the screen, you will not be able to automatically create a Growth Item in the backlog.
The recommended item now shows as Already Pulled.
When your team reviews the Growth Plan, you will now see the item has been automatically pulled into your backlog for the assessment you are working on.
Watch videos to learn more about a competency and related topics. The videos are recommended based on the competency you are reviewing. Typically the team will add a video to the backlog and will plan to watch it within the next quarter. Each iteration, the Scrum Master will work with the team to keep these items visible in the backlog and help team members get them to done.
View blogs and articles related to improving a competency. These resources are recommended based on the competency you are reviewing. Typically the team will add the Resource(s) to the backlog and will plan to review it within the next quarter. Each iteration, the Scrum Master will work with the team to keep these items visible in the backlog and help team members get them to done.
Request a Coach
Get help from seasoned coaches to help your team grow. You can select Request Coach to schedule time with a specific individual coach.
Once you select Request Coach, a pop-up will appear so you can send an email directly to the seasoned coach.
You also have the ability to add your own specialized coaches that can be used as resources for all of your teams. The teams can request to schedule time with these coaches in his/her area of expertise.

Revisit the Growth Portal
Another way to access the Growth Portal is through the icon at the top of the screen when you first log into AgilityHealth®. This is typically used in between your assessments. You can watch videos or utilize the resources for any competency at any time, which means you do not need to wait for the next retrospective to continue improving!
To access the Growth Portal from the icon at the top of the screen, log into AgilityHealth® and select Growth Portal in the upper right hand corner.
This view of the Growth Portal is not specific to any one competency, but rather it allows you to review the reference material for each competency by using the navigation pane on the left side of the screen.
Using the icon at the top of the screen when you first login allows for quicker access to the Growth Portal.
You can also use the filter <> option on the left side of the screen at any time while in the Growth Portal to navigate to another competency you may want to review.
Creating Custom Content
Your company can manage the content of the Growth Portal by adding/editing/deleting your own custom content. This allows your company to leverage your own resources such as recommendations for growth items, internal videos, blogs and articles written by your coaches, as well as add your Coaches.
